Suzanne Ruthven is the editor of The New Writer. She is also commissioning editor for a publisher specialising in mind, body & spirit titles. Author of a dozen books in the genre as well as two novels, she has contributed articles to a wide variety of publications. She is a full member of the Academi (The Welsh Academy) in recognition of her contribution to literature in Wales. Sarah Jackson is the guest poetry editor of The New Writer. She has been published in a wide range of journals including The Rialto, Magma, Envoi, Interpreter's House, Aesthetica and Other Poetry. She was featured as a key poet in Poetry South (2007) and her debut pamphlet, Milk, was published by Pighog Press in 2008. Her poems are featured in the anthology, Voice Recognition: 21 Poets for the 21st Century (Bloodaxe). Sarah currently teaches on the MA in Creative Writing and Personal Development at Sussex University and for The Open University. Merric Davidson is the publisher of The New Writer. He has worked both as a book publisher and literary agent and has been the administrator of the British Book Awards since 1992.
